The panel will discuss various rules of jurisdictions within Germany, the United Kingdom and Canada, employment contracts involving pensions, health insurance, tax and dispute resolution, and work examples of how the different laws apply to workers and citizens in their jurisdictions.

Mr. Brown will be speaking on the panel “ IPEBLA Executive Compensations – Performance Based Compensation and Retention Programs” on May 21 at 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. GMT. The panel will explore various considerations when planning and implementing monetary components that are linked to a variable determination basis within company goals and/or individual targets. Experts will focus on legal thresholds and key items for “lessons learned” for each jurisdiction.

Ms. Zerjav will be speaking on the panel “Who is the Employer? Pension and Benefit Plans and Control Group Issues From Multinational to Portfolio Companies” on May 21 at 2:30-3:45 p.m GMT. The panel will look at examples of parties other than the direct “employer” receiving pension obligations of subsidiaries or other relevant affiliates. Resulting in obligations to arise by law and then companies having to enforce private parties or regulators’ having to exercise “moral hazard” powers. Experts from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States will give their input within this area and highlight recent developments.
